Woke up in the morning and spent the whole day exploring around the old city. This square is where the city used to be contained too, and over time the city was expanded outside of this space.

The old city has been preserved to keep a lot of the original structures, and there are tons of temples all within a quick walk from each other.

We walked through a ton of temples, and my personal favourite is Wat Chedi Luang. It was built in the 1300s and has been preserved to keep it as close to the original look as possible. It’s a sharp contrast from all of the other temples we’ve been to, as there’s not a piece of stained glass or Buddha statue in sight. This is what I’ve been waiting to see, and I hope that there’s many more to come from here.

We kept wandering around the Old City and found ourselves at a public park and that had a little lake in the middle, and flowers everywhere. We hung out here for a bit, enjoying the scenery and the sun.

We grabbed some food then headed back to our hostel from a quick dip in the pool and a little nap before a night out.
